Helene van der Geest
Hi! My name is Helene van der Geest and I am 22 years old. I am currently in my third year of the bachelors Dutch Law and Business Law. Next to my studies, I am active at student association T.S.V. Plato and sorority DOT.. During my time in Tilburg, I learned that it is important to be active besides your studies and to develop yourself and your skills outside of what the university courses provide. It enables you to distinguish yourself from others which will have a positive effect on your professional career and your social network. Every student should get the opportunity to be active an that is why I would like to represent the active student in the University Council. Next year, I want to focus on creating more silent study spaces and to improve the quality of study spaces across campus by expanding the facilities from the University Library, such as monitors, to other buildings. This way every student gets the opportunity to focus and study in the most effective way. In addition, I would like to focus on expanding the possibilities concerning minors for students through the ‘Mobility Window’. This allows students to make it easier to follow minor courses at other universities or to implement an internship in your minor.
Do you agree with this and want me to represent you next year? Then vote Front #3 for the University Council on the 11th, 12th and 13th of April!
