Registration and Tuition Fee Regulation 2021-2022 (UR 2556)
Dit is het jaarlijkse aanpassingsbeleid van de registratie- en collegegeld regulatie. Dit voorstel is opgesteld in nauwe samenwerking met de scholen, Academic Services, Executive Support, Marketing & Communicatie en Finance & Control. Door de Brexit is het Verenigd Koninkrijk niet langer lid van de EU en de EER. TSHD verlaagt het instellingscollegegeld voor hun educatieve masteropleidingen door deze in lijn te brengen met het wettelijk collegegeld. Ter compensatie van de inflatie van lonen en prijzen en in lijn met de indexering van het wettelijk collegegeld, gaat het instellingscollegegeld voor het nieuw toegevoegde studiejaar (2023-2024 voor bacheloropleidingen, 2022-2023 voor masteropleidingen) met 1% tot 2% omhoog.
Initiative Proposal Audience Response Tool (UR 2558)
Fractie SAM heeft een initiatief ingediend over de implementatie van een Audience Response Tool om de interactie in online colleges te bevorderen. Ze bevelen Wooclap aan. Het CvB geeft aan dat er al een Response Tool is, namelijk Presenters Wall. Dit contract loopt tot eind 2021, tegen de tijd dat dit verloopt zal er gekeken worden naar wat een goede volgende optie zal zijn.
Update TiU servicedocument document / BSA (UR 2559)
Na een gezamenlijke oproep van verschillende studentenfracties uit het hele land, waaronder Fractie Front, is er een discussie gestart onder de universiteiten over de aanpassing van het BSA voor dit collegejaar. Uiteindelijk is op Tilburg University besloten dat studenten die in het collegejaar 2020/2021 voor het eerst ingeschreven stonden in een bacheloropleiding en die minimaal 36 EC hebben behaald in het eerste jaar van die opleiding, zullen voldoen aan de eisen van het Bindend Studieadvies en ontvangen in augustus 2021 een positief Bindend Studieadvies.
Any other Business
Deze universiteitsraad hebben wij een initiatief ingediend over de erkenning van extracurriculaire activiteiten. Wij stellen voor dat er een certificaat komt voor studenten die belangrijk commissiewerk of een bestuursjaar hebben gedaan, dit certificaat is een blijk van waardering vanuit de universiteit en tegelijkertijd biedt dit duidelijkheid naar toekomstige werkgevers met wat je leert binnen deze activiteiten.
Verder hebben we aangegeven dat we bezig zijn met het verbeteren van cybersecurity voor verenigingen. We staan in nauw contact met IT security en de verenigingen om te bekijken wat verenigingen nodig hebben om de persoonsgegevens van hun leden te beschermen.
Samen met SAM hebben we een brief ingediend over de zachte knip. De zachte knip houdt in dat het mogelijk is om aan een master te beginnen zonder al de vakken van de bachelor te hebben behaald, 12 ECTS mogen niet behaald blijven. Afgelopen jaar was hier al sprake van aangezien Corona veel druk legt op studenten, in deze brief vragen we om het gesprek aan te gaan om snel te kijken naar de mogelijkheden voor dit jaar.
Samen met SAM hebben wij een brief ingediend met onze zorgen over de problemen die zijn voorgekomen bij Proctorio de afgelopen tentamenperiode. Verschillende tentamens zijn ongeldig verklaard door problemen die buiten de macht van de studenten liggen. In de brief uiten we dat we hopen en verwachten dat de volgende tentamenperiode(s) dit niet meer zal gebeuren.
Registration and Tuition Fee Regulation 2021-2022 (UR 2556)
This is the annual adjustment policy of registration and tuition regulation. This proposal has been prepared in close collaboration with the Schools, Academic Services, Executive Support, Marketing & Communications and Finance & Control. Due to the Brexit, the UK is no longer a member of the EU and the EEA. TSHD is reducing the institutional tuition fees for their educational master’s programs by bringing them in line with the statutory tuition fees. To compensate for inflation of wages and prices and in line with the indexation of statutory tuition fees, the institutional tuition fees for the newly added academic year (2023-2024 for bachelor’s programs, 2022-2023 for master’s programs) will increase by 1% to 2%.
Initiative Proposal for a Designated Student General Practitioner
By means of the initiative, SAM wants the university to create room for a comprehensive collaboration with an existing GP in Tilburg. SAM believes that by having a Designated Student General Practitioner in place, a more streamlined approach will be offered which enables students suffering from wellbeing issues to solve their problems faster.
The Board endorses the importance that Student party SAM attaches to health care security and possibilities for all (international) students (and PhD’s). Therefore, the Board undertakes that

SAM has submitted an initiative on implementing an Audience Response Tool to promote interaction in online lectures. They recommend Wooclap. After a joint call from several student parties across the country, including Student Party Front, a discussion has started among universities about the adjustment of the BSA for this academic year. Ultimately, it was decided at Tilburg University that students who were first enrolled in a bachelor’s program in the 2020/2021 academic year and who obtained at least 36 EC in the first year of that program will meet the requirements of the Binding Study Advice and will receive a positive Binding Study Advice in August 2021.
Any other business
This university council we have submitted an initiative about the recognition of extracurricular activities. We propose that there should be a certificate for students who have done important committee work or a board year, this certificate is a token of appreciation from the university and at the same time it provides clarity to future employers with what you learn within these activities.
Further, we indicated that we are working on improving cybersecurity for associations. We are in close contact with IT security and the associations to see what associations need to protect their members’ personal data.
Together with SAM we submitted a letter about the bachelor-before-master rule (zachte knip). The “zachte knip” makes it possible to start a master program without having completed all the courses of the bachelor; 12 ECTS are allowed not to be completed. Last year this was already an issue because Corona puts a lot of pressure on students, in this letter we ask for a more lenient bachelor-before-master rule as well.
Together with SAM, we have submitted a letter with our concerns about the problems that have occurred at Proctorio this past exam period. Several exams were declared invalid due to problems beyond the students’ control. In the letter we express that we hope and expect that in the next exam period(s) this will not happen again.
